Como lo hace notar The Awl, el FBI hizo un enrroque en su Top Ten de fugitivos y Osama Bin Laden dejó de ser el más buscado por el gobierno de Estados Unidos. Ahora, de manera casi subrepticia, ese puesto lo ostenta el líder de la banda de los Aztecas Eduardo Ravelo. Hace unas semanas Ravelo saltó a la fama luego que el FBI (el departamento de ficción más interesante del gobierno estadounidense) atara cabos y consiguiera vincularlo con la muerte de tres funcionarios consulares estadounidenses. The best part about Eduardo Ravelo is that he's right there, just across the Rio Grande. As a street criminal, Ravelo makes more sense to us than institutional crime. He's much more tangible for US authorities and the public than the real leaders of the cartels and their corrupt associates in Mexican businesses helping them stash their cash—or the government and military officials helping them move their product. He's the perfect diversion from the unseemly notion that we could have a country to our south whose social fabric is being destroyed by the same industry that helps it stay afloat economically.
